Resource Removal After Actuals Are Reported

Scenario:

1. A resource reported effort on a task.

2. The Update Forecast run and now there is a Preplanning date

Scenario 2:

1. Assign a resource to a task

2. the resource reported effort on a task and timesheet is approved

3. delete a resource

The original statement was: If a resource is removed from a task and Actual Effort exists before the Last Replanning Date, the system presents the following options. But only without running the Update Forecast it's possible

  • Make resource inactive

    • Removes assignment information from the Last Replanning Date onward

    • Retains historical Actuals and Budget/Forecast data

  • Delete resource and all related time entries

    • Removes all assignment and time entry data

    • Retains only actual financial information
