What are the built-in fields Hub writes to the database in an Enterprise Data Stream integration?

Last Updated:    |  Applicable Hub Versions: All

Answer

Hub's Enterprise Data Stream integration automatically writes some built-in fields to the database with every artifact change. These fields are not part of the artifact model, but are automatically included to help facilitate reporting. The built-in fields are:

  • repository_id - The unique identifier of the connection, can be used in reports to identify a repository connection
  • repository_url - The URL of the repository, can be used in reports to identify a repository
  • artifact_id - An ID of an artifact that is globally unique, can be used in reports to uniquely identify an artifact across repositories and connections. The value of this field is an opaque value; assumptions should not be made about its structure or content. It should be noted that this value does not correspond to the ID of the artifact as it is represented in the repository itself, but is useful for reporting since it is globally unique
