After upgrade, will my integrations automatically resume running?

During the Hub upgrade process, running integrations are paused until upgrade completes.  

Note: While the upgrade is taking place, integrations in the list view that were running before the upgrade occurred will still appear to be running, though in reality they will be paused.

Part of the Hub upgrade process involves completing a configuration migration for each integration individually. Depending on the version of Hub you are using, you will see different behavior with respect to when integrations resume after each individual configuration migration occurs. We've outlined the various behaviors below.

Planview Hub: On Premise 19.3.0.20190603 and later, all Cloud versions 

In order to promote smoother back-ups and restores in case of upgrade issues, all integrations are stopped for the duration of the entire upgrade process. You will see a banner at the top of the screen informing you that integrations have been paused. There is a Resume Individually button on the banner that allows you to resume integrations individually as their individual configuration migrations complete, though this is not recommended, due to associated risks with back-ups.

  • If you do not choose to 'Resume Individually': Once the entire upgrade completes (for all integrations), the banner will disappear and integrations will resume. Remember that since integrations that are paused still appear to be running in the list view, the way to understand whether or not integrations have resumed is based on the presence or absence of this banner.

  • If you do choose to 'Resume Individually': The banner will disappear and individual integrations will resume one-by-one as their configuration migration completes. Note that since all integrations that were running before upgrade appear to be running on the Integrations List screen, you will not be able to identify which have truly resumed from that screen until the entire upgrade competes. To understand which integrations are running, go to the Background Jobs tab. From that screen, you can see which integrations’ configuration migrations have completed. Those are the integrations which will have resumed running.

Planview Hub: On Premise 18.3.0  - 19.3.0.20190520

Individual integrations will resume running as their individual configuration migrations complete. This is the same behavior that occurs in the description above when users click Resume Individually.

Note: Since all integrations that were running before upgrade appear to be running on the Integrations List screen, you will not be able to identify which have truly resumed from that screen until the entire upgrade competes. To understand which integrations are running, go to the Background Jobs tab. From that screen, you can see which integrations’ configuration migrations have completed. Those are the integrations which will have resumed running.
