Highlights for projects – overview
Highlights are brief summaries of key information that appear at the top of boards to help project managers evaluate the progress and health of their projects.
There are default highlights that include the most common KPIs. Owners and editors of project boards can do the following:
- add custom and default highlights to their boards
- edit the settings for custom and default highlights
- remove highlights from their boards
Default highlights
- Resource highlight
- compares actual effort and planned effort (work) in hours
- percentage bar of actual effort/work is color coded:
- less than 60 – GREEN
- equal to or greater than 60 or less than 90 – AMBER
- greater than or equal to 90 is RED
- Cost highlight
- compares actual cost to budgeted cost in <Cost Currency Type> (e.g. USD)
- bar of percentage of actual cost/budgeted cost is color coded
- less than 60 – GREEN
- equal to or greater than 60 or less than 90 – AMBER
- greater than or equal to 90 is RED
- Revenue highlight
- compares actual revenue to expected revenue in <Revenue Currency Type> (e.g. USD)
- percentage of actual revenue/expected revenue is displayed in a color-coded bar:
- equal to or greater than 90 – green
- greater than 60 but less than 90 – amber
- equal to or less than 60 – red
- Progress highlight
- displays percentage complete of expected progress in a pie chart
- equal to or greater than 90 – green
- greater than 60 but less than 90 – amber
- equal to or less than 60 – red
- displays percentage complete of expected progress in a pie chart
- On Target highlight
- compares percentage complete with expected progress
- percentage of percent complete with expected progress is displayed in a color-coded bar:
- equal to or greater than 90 – green
- greater than 60 but less than 90 – amber
- equal to or less than 60 – red
