Custom Panels

Custom panels allow users to add both AdaptiveWork internal and external pages to highlight key work metrics into relation views available directly from your item screen. Custom panels are available for boards in Portfolios, Projects, Milestones, Tasks, Cases, Issues, Requests, Risks, and Bugs.

The content in a custom panel can include:

  • Any URL
  • Widgets
  • Two types of HTML based custom panels:
    • Static HTML that can contain data, links to objects, links to custom actions, etc. including CSS to control the design of the outcome.
    • Dynamic HTML utilizing all the elements of modern HTML web pages including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON, AJAX, and REST APIs.

Custom panels can be defined to be accessible to specific users, user groups or under certain conditions, you can also define if and how the panel is shown for each of the available views, narrow, wide, and maximized.

In your Board Settings, the Custom Panels toggle is on by default. It cannot be toggled off.

To view a custom panel in your board:
  1. In your board, click Custom Panels.
  2. Select a custom panel from the list of available panels.

If there are no custom panels available or you do not have permission to view custom panels, no custom panels will be displayed.
