Planview Anvi Agent-to-Agent Connectivity
What is Agent-to-Agent Connectivity?
Imagine that your external AI assistant—such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude—can talk directly to Anvi.
You ask the external assistant:
“Which projects are at risk because key milestones are slipping?”
The external assistant sends that question to Anvi through MCP. Anvi understands Planview’s projects, portfolios, milestones, dependencies, and terminology, analyzes the relevant data, and sends back a natural-language answer. The external assistant then presents that answer to you as part of the same conversation.
The Flow
You → External AI assistant → Anvi → Planview data and intelligence → External AI assistant → You
MCP is essentially the secure communication channel and shared language that lets the two AI systems communicate.
Why This Matters
The external AI does not need to learn Planview’s entire data model or interpret raw Planview data itself. Instead, it can ask Anvi questions in ordinary language and rely on Anvi to interpret the request and provide a meaningful response.
