Description

This PowerBI report viewer tile widget seamlessly integrates your PowerBI.com reports directly into Planview.Me, providing access to key data alongside other actionable insights and widgets – all within the Planview.Me page. This powerful widget transforms how you access and visualize your organization's data.

Key benefits of the widget include the ability to:

  • view and interact with PowerBI.com reports within Planview.Me, while maintaining all security permissions and interactive report features
  • access real-time metrics, financial summaries, and cross-functional data in one consolidated view
  • access full Power BI functionality including tooltips, dynamic visuals, and drill-down capabilities.
  • access all data that has been to PowerBI.com, including data from AgilePlace, ProjectPlace, third-party applications, and so on

Using the Power BI report viewer tile widget

To view the report in the widget in a Planview.Me view, you must first sign in to your Power BI account. Once the report is displayed, you have access to the same functionality in the widget that is available in the report in Power BI.

Configuration settings

Option Description
Power BI report URL Embed link for the Power BI report.

To configure the Power BI report viewer tile widget

  1. Obtain the link for embedding the Power BI report:
    1. In Power BI, access the Power BI report or dashboard, and then click File > Embed report > Website or Portal
    2. To include the action bar in the widget, click Enable action bar.
    3. Copy the link for embedding the content.
    4. Click Close.
  2. In Planview.Me or Planview Admin, access the designer mode for the Planview.Me view that you want to add the widget to.
  3. Add the widget to the view, and then click ellipse_vertical_dk_gray.png> Settings.
  4. Paste the embed link in the Power BI Report URL field and then click Save.
  5. Save the view.

           

TIP

Be sure to check and make sure the report is displayed properly in the widget. You might have to adjust the size of the widget or in the report itself so that it fits in the widget.
