Creating a workspace (users)

NOTE

This feature/functionality is currently not available in Planview.Me Labs.

A workspace groups capability items, such as overview views and roadmaps, in one location for easy access by users and groups of users that are members of the workspace.

When creating a workspace, you first specify the name, description, and workspace type (for example, Workspace, Workspace group, Folder, Portfolio, and Team). You then specify its members and add capabilities and capability items, such as overviews, boards, roadmaps.

About overviews

An overview is a view that include widgets, which display capability data in predefined formats and layouts. You can create workspace overview views that display only the capability data included in the current workspace. When you configure the widgets that display capability data, you have the option of specifying whether the data is limited to the current workspace or not.

When you add a capability item or app, the item and its related capability are both enabled by default. To hide all capability items for a capability, you can disable the capability. You might want to do this if you want to be sure that all capability items for the capability are hidden until you are finished adding them all. You can also hide individual capability items.

After you add the capabilities, you can add users or groups as members of the workspace. Workspace members automatically have access to all workspace capabilities.
