My Assignments widget

Description

The My Assignments widget displays information about allocations and reserves assigned to you that meet the following criteria:

  • The associated work item is still open or in progress with any work status except Completed.
  • The remaining effort is greater than zero.

The information displayed depends on where the widget is located:

  • In Planview.Me the widget displays information about the allocations and reserves assigned to you that meet the criteria described earlier.
  • In Planview Portfolios, the widget displays information about allocations and reserves in the context of where you are viewing the widget:
    • When viewing the Overview tab on My Overview, it displays information about all allocations and reserves assigned to you for work items that meet the criteria described earlier.
    • When viewing the Overview tab for a specific work portfolio, it displays all allocations and reserves assigned to you in that work portfolio for work items that meet the criteria described earlier.
    • When viewing the Overview tab for a specific work entity, it displays all allocations and reserves assigned to you for that work entity for work items that meet the criteria described earlier.

Available functionality

If you have editing (read/write) permissions to the work, you can edit data directly in some cells of the widget, such as those pertaining to dates, effort, status, and adding remarks. Some cells display hyperlinks, which you can click to view data in the relevant area of Planview Portfolios.

Configuration settings

Option Description
Title Name of the widget.
Description (contextual help) Description to appear when user clicks the help icon for the widget.
Assignment types Type of assignments to be included in the widget. You can select allocations, reserves, or both.
