Using Planview Copilot for Planview Portfolios

What is Planview Copilot?

Planview Copilot is a generative AI assistant designed to access, connect, and provide visibility into your organization’s unique data intelligence. Easily converse with Planview Copilot to ask questions about your enterprise data using natural language. Gain insight, receive recommendations, and take action. Think of Planview Copilot as your personal data analytics expert ensuring you make confident, informed, and fast strategic decisions.

Why Planview Copilot? 

Planview Copilot empowers everyone from the team room to the boardroom by helping to:

  • Accelerate delivery speed.
  • Boost productivity.
  • Reduce business risk.

It does this in Planview Portfolios by:

  • Analyzing work portfolio data for anomalies, risks, and other data points that are related to a user's questions.
  • Producing hypothetical scenarios and presenting suggestions and recommendations for next steps based on project, program, and portfolio best practices from across the industry.
  • Responding to questions using Planview's Customer Success Center content as its foundation.

Getting started 

To use Planview Copilot in Planview Portfolios:

  1. In Planview Portfolios, navigate to the Portfolio Manager tile on the work Portfolio View screen.
  2. Click the Planview Copilot icon Copilot_assisted_chat.png on the primary navigation bar to display the Planview Copilot chat window.

  3. Click ellipse_vertical_dk_gray.png to adjust the font size or to switch the color mode between light and dark.
  4. In the What can I answer for you? box, enter your message to Planview Copilot.
  5. To copy the generated response text, click squares_copy_dk_gray_CC.png in the lower-right of the chat window. You can then paste the copied response into other documents or messages.
  6. To provide feedback on a response, take the following actions:
    1. Click the feedback response icon in the lower-right corner of the response.
    2. In the dialog that appears, rate the response and enter your feedback. Click Rate to submit.

  7.  To close Planview Copilot, click X_dk_gray_CC.png.

           

Prerequisites (Why can't I access Planview Copilot in Planview Portfolios?)

If you can't access Planview Copilot in Planview Portfolios, contact your administrator to ensure that the following prerequisites are met.

The following features must be enabled on your user role.

  • None.
