Insights widget
Description
Displays a brief summary of work or strategy data from Planview Portfolios or objectives and key results (OKRs) as well as guidance and recommended actions based on predefined insights that are generated by Planview Copilot.
TIP
You can click the name of a Planview Portfolios work item or strategy or an OKR to open the Planview Portfolios entity or OKR.
About data caching in the widget
The Insights widget prioritizes cached data so you can have immediate access to insights, ensuring fast response times without waiting for AI processing. Cached data is automatically refreshed 24 hours after the most recent refresh.
The widget footer includes a timestamp (labeled As of) that indicates when the data was last generated. To view more information about the cache status and the date and time for the next refresh (localized to the current user's time zone), point to the information icon in the widget footer.
Enabling the Insights widget in Planview Admin
To make the Insights widget available to users, an administrator must enable the widget and accept the Privacy Policy in Planview Admin. For more information, see Setting up Planview.Me (administrators).
Available functionality
To get started using the widget, you select options from the drop-down lists at the top of the widget. The options that are available depend on whether the widget was configured to provide insights on Planview Portfolios work or OKRs.
The insights currently available include:
- Portfolios: Work summary
- OKRs:
- OKR quality check report
- OKR progress report
- OKR executive summary report
Users can manually refresh data by clicking , which bypasses the cache and generates fresh insights immediately; fresh data with updated timestamps then replaces cached content.
