Creating a Roadmap

 

  1. Click Add > Insight > Roadmap.
  2. In the Roadmap dialog, enter the name and description for the roadmap, and then click Create. The roadmap view appears with the timeline beginning at the current date.
  3. To configure the roadmap settings, click the configuration icon in the top right corner of the view. The Roadmap Configuration dialog appears.
  4. To specify the entities to be displayed in the roadmap:
    1. Click the Entities tab.
    2. In the Entity field, select the entity catalog of the entities to be displayed in the roadmap, in this case, demands.
    3. In the Relationship field, select the association relationship to the entity catalog that the demands will be grouped by.
    4. In the Grouping Category field, select the entity catalog that the demands will be grouped by.
    5. If you want only one demand type to be displayed in the view, click the Timeline Settings tab, and then in the Show Entities of this Type field, select the entity type to be displayed.
  5. Specify the timeline settings:
    1. Click the Timeline Settings tab.
    2. In the Timeblock Settings section, specify the default time block for demands in the roadmap.
  6. Specify the constraint settings:
    1. Click the Timeline Settings tab.
    2. In the Constraint Field, select the field for which the values are used for comparison.
    3. In the Constraint Threshold field, specify the threshold amount that the values for the fields on the demands are compared to by timeblock in the visualization pane.
  7. When you are finished, click Save.
