Publishing A Report Widget To a Dashboard

 

In order to attach a report to a dashboard the report will need to be configured as a widget type report.

This guide will show how to do this.

 

1) First of all create a report which has a Usage Type set as a ‘Widget’

Once the report is setup and running as desired then two further options will need to be configured in the ‘Edit Report’ screen

 

2) Select ‘Details’ tab and go to 'Login Groups'

    Add the login groups to allow controlled access to the report. 

 

3) Next, go to 'Availability

    This tab enables you to specify and select the dashboards where this report is to be made available.

Once this has been configured the report can then be saved.

The report will now be available on the selected work areas.

To demonstrate this, the report will be added in the ‘My Work’ Dashboard page.

 

4) Go to the ‘My Work’ dashboard and select the configuration icon

 

5) Select ‘Configure Current View’

6) Select the ‘+’ icon

7) On the ‘Add Widget’ screen select Data Widgets and within here the report that was created will be available.

8) Select ‘Add’

 

9) Once added select the ‘Save’ option

10) The widget has now been added to the dashboard.

 

Same steps apply if adding to any other dashboard in the system

The dashboards can then be published to another Login group if required.
