Input is over several tabs. At each one you will indicate if codes for new records of the specified type are to be automatically generated and how the codes are to be structured.

Each code has a maximum of twenty characters, which prevents long and complex codes being generated. An example format in line with your selections is shown for each type.

NOTE:
If Workflows are not enabled through Project Settings, you will also see a Project tab to generate project codes automatically.
