Flow Optimizer

Introduction

Once you've started generating Flow Metrics, the next step is to optimize your value streams. You can do this using the Flow Optimizer. The Flow Optimizer includes a set of intuitive widgets, each packed with insights and actionable recommendations. These widgets assess your value stream's performance, providing clear, data-driven insights to guide you toward optimal efficiency.

The Flow Optimizer currently features one widget:

  • Stability of Time to Complete: This widget provides step-by-step guidance on managing work-in-progress (WIP) and creating stable flow. 
  • Visibility of Work: This widget identifies modeling issues that require attention.

Each insight and recommendation featured in the Flow Optimizer is tailored to your value stream's unique Flow Metrics. 

Accessing the Flow Optimizer

To access the Flow Optimizer, click the Flow Optimizer tab, which is to the left of Flow Metrics.

            

            

When you open the Flow Optimizer, you'll see a collection of widgets.

Each widget consists of two distinct sections:

  • Take Action: This section provides recommendations based on your Flow Metrics.
  • Details: This section offers a variety of unique insights tailored to your specific product value stream.
