Overview
The Aged Work widget identifies effort spent on work items that have been open for an extended period and are now considered significantly aged. Stale work can slow down delivery, delay valuable feedback, and consume team capacity that could be better used elsewhere.
These insights help you identify teams that need support managing aged work, spot trends in aging work, and reclaim capacity spent on aged work.
Aged Work Insights include two key insights:
- Active time spent on significantly aged work at end of period: Shows the total number of days teams have spent working on significantly aged items at the end of the period
- Percent of work items that are significantly aged at end of period: Compares the number of significantly aged items to completed work items at the end of the period
Note: Aged Work Insights are generated for each Portfolio and Sub-Portfolio. Aged work insights are only generated for standard products; sandbox and disabled products are not included.

The Aged Work widget displays two key insights:

Use the period selector to choose your desired timeframe.
Note: Only completed periods can be selected in the period selector.
Hover over the info icon to learn more about the aged work insights.
Click View Products to identify which products contribute most to significantly aged work.
This will bring you to the Portfolio View (or Product List) where you can see trends in canceled work across your portfolio.
Note: The sorting of aged work depends on your access point. When you navigate directly from Aged Work, items will be automatically sorted by highest percentage change. However, if you access this view from any other location, the default sort (by product name) will be applied.
