Introduction
The Visibility of Work widget is designed to quickly identify modeling issues on the Artifact Modeling screen that require attention.
This helps you spot inconsistencies, gaps, or misalignments in your artifact modeling, ensuring that your Flow Metrics accurately reflect the true nature of work being done. With improved visibility, you can make informed decisions, prioritize effectively, and optimize your development processes.

Take Action
The Take Action section provides valuable suggestions to help you address potential issues related to artifact modeling. These recommendations focus on key areas that may require your attention to ensure accurate and comprehensive modeling of your work.
Some of the suggestions you may find in this section include:
- Model Not Set artifact types
- Model Active, Waiting, Done flow states for all modeled flow items
- Model unmodeled flow items
Details
The Details section offers three insights to help you assess the comprehensiveness and accuracy of your artifact modeling:
1. Artifact Types Modeled Across Tools: This insight examines your modeling configuration to determine whether all artifact types, across all the tools you use, have been properly modeled.
2. Flow Items Represented by Artifact Types: This insight validates whether the essential flow items—Feature, Defect, Risk, and Debt—are adequately represented by at least one artifact type in your modeling configuration.
3. Flow States Mapped for Modeled Flow Items: This insight verifies whether the crucial flow states—Active, Waiting, and Done—are appropriately mapped for all the modeled flow items.
By reviewing these insights in the Details section, you can identify areas for improvement in your artifact modeling and take targeted actions to address any gaps or inconsistencies. This leads to a more comprehensive and accurate representation of your work, enhancing the reliability of your flow metrics and facilitating data-driven decision-making in your development process.
Artifact Types Modeled
This insight helps you identify any artifact types that may have been overlooked or left unmodeled, ensuring that your modeling encompasses the full scope of your work.
Flow Items Represented by Artifact Types
This insight validates whether the essential flow items—Feature, Defect, Risk, and Debt—are adequately represented by at least one artifact type in your modeling configuration. By confirming that these key flow items are modeled, you can ensure that your flow metrics accurately reflect the different types of work being performed.
Flow States Mapped for Modeled Flow Items
This insight verifies whether the crucial flow states—Active, Waiting, and Done—are appropriately mapped for all the modeled flow items. Mapping these states correctly is essential for tracking the progress and status of your work accurately. It helps you identify any gaps or inconsistencies in your flow state mapping, enabling you to make necessary adjustments and maintain a clear understanding of your work's flow.
