TIP
Set up your field and options in your source tool before creating a custom filter. This saves time and reduces the need for an Options Reload.
A custom filter is an org-level mechanism that filters data to provide custom views in Viz. Currently, it's only available for the Work Alignment insight, but will be expanded to other areas of the product in the future.
Note: Only Viz administrators can create and configure a custom filter and there is a current limitation of 1 custom filter with up to 5 field sets.
To configure a custom filter, you need to add a field set where they'd like to source the data from. To do this, you need to:
In the example above, the admin has configured Jira for the Tool connection, 2025 OKRs as the Field, and Epic as the Type. This means that the filter will pull all Jira epics that have data in the 2025 OKRs field.
In the Work Alignment insight, the custom filter specifies which top-level items should be used to generate the insight.
