Object and Action Types for Outcome Lifecycle Models

The following table describes the various objects and actions the product supports during the creation of a new lifecycle step for an outcome. In addition, the table lists the user-role features a user needs to complete such actions.

Associate an outcome to one or more projects.

Configurable :Screen

Enter/Edit - Opens the configured screen and prompts the user to complete the fields.

Permission identified on the screen definition as required for viewing or editing; if none defined, then all users.

Review - Opens the configured screen and prompts the user to review the screen.


Either permission marked on the screen definition is required for viewing or editing; if none was marked for viewing, then all users.

Approve - Opens the configured screen and prompts the user to approve the data entered in the fields.

Financial Plan

Enter/Edit - Create a financial plan; displays a list of versions of the selected financial plan. You can lock the selected version of the plan.

Edit Outcomes Financial Plans.

If the Lock check box cannot be selected, see Locking a Financial Plan Prerequisites. Only administrators can unlock a financial plan.

Copy - Creates a financial plan by copying another financial plan. You can select the version of the financial plan you are copying from and the version of the financial plan you are copying to. You can also lock or unlock the financial plan you are copying from.

Edit Outcomes Financial Plans.

If the Copy check box cannot be selected, see Copying Financial Planning Information or Copying Financial Planning Information as an Administrator for additional requirements relevant to copying a financial plan.

If the Lock check box cannot be selected, see Locking a Financial Plan for prerequisites information. Only administrators can unlock a financial plan.

Review a financial plan.

View Outcomes Financial Plans.

Approve a financial plan.

View Outcomes Financial Plans.

Include for Investment Approval.

Lifecycle Model Choice

Choose - Initiates a new lifecycle segment; presents a menu of lifecycle models for the user to select.

Use Outcomes.

Scripted Dialog

Execute - Directs the product to activate the specified script, causing other actions (as defined by the administrator of the script).

Required permission as defined for the particular dialog.

Review - Prompts a user to review the answers provided in a script (if end user responses were required).

All users.

Approve - Prompts a user to approve the outcome of the dialog actions.

All users.

Status Change

Set/Propose (a status change).

Use Outcomes.

Accept.

Use Outcomes.

Wait for a proposed status change.

All users, no specific permissions.
