Planview Admin Release Notes - 08/30/24

We have deployed the following enhancements to Planview Admin during the week of August 30, 2024. This post is designed to help you understand how new and enhanced features can improve your PV Admin experience, and to guide you in making decisions about how to configure those features (if applicable). Release notes for Planview Admin are published weekly on Fridays. The next set of release notes will be published on September 6, 2024.

In addition to the fixes and enhancements below, this release contains various background improvements that lay the groundwork for future enhancements. They should not have an impact on your current PV Admin experience.

To learn more about the features described in the release notes, please visit our Planview Admin page in the Customer Success Center.

New Enhancements

Planview Admin SSO certificate refresh
To ensure we can continue to provide a high level of security for our customers, Planview Admin will be refreshing the our security certificates used for authentication. These security certificates are used by your IdP to validate login attempts using SAML SSO. For most users, this change will not affect their ability to log into Planview Admin. To ensure that your users can access Planview Admin without interruption, please contact your IT department and ask for updated IdP certificates.

When the change goes into effect, you can test your SSO login using the test feature in the SSO settings page.

SHA-1 signing algorithm no longer supported
We are no longer supporting IdPs that use the SHA-1 signing algorithm. SHA-1 is no longer considered sufficiently secure and has been replaced by SHA-256. Please contact your IT department to ensure that your IdP no longer uses SHA-1.
