Roadmaps for Enterprise GA

This update includes the general availability release of Roadmaps for Enterprise, which provides the following features:

• convert a roadmap item to a card on an AgilePlace board

• create items that are imported from Planview Portfolios work, strategy, and outcome items

• create dependencies (incoming and outgoing) between items so that you can be track how various programs and initiatives in your organization are progressing and how they impact each other

Known issues

• All English language options specified in browser settings display dates in "month-day-year" format even for options where the format should be "day-month-year."

Fixed issues:

• Users are forced to sign back in after shorter than expected periods of inactivity.

Enhancements:

• New knowledge center icon  (beside the user menu) for viewing information regarding the current Roadmaps release and providing product feedback or suggestions
• Ability to set default roadmap views when sharing roadmaps with other users

Enhancements:

• Adding items from AgilePlace – items that are in any of the archive lanes in AgilePlace are filtered out, even if the lane is displayed
• Managing the timeline – option to hide groups that contain no items when roadmap items are grouped
• Planview Product Switcher – ability to switch to a different Planview product directly from Planview Roadmaps 

Fixed issues:

• Horizontal scrolling in timeline skips ahead erratically

Enhancements:

• Adding users to roadmaps – option to send users an email notification when they have been given access to a roadmap

Enhancements:

• Milestones – visual uplift to increase usabiity and readability
  • milestone names are displayed on the roadmap (without having to hover over them)
  • new menu and dialog for adding milestones
  • new pane to display and edit milestone details 
• Moving items in a roadmap:
  • improvements to the shadow that indicates the intended location of the item being moved
  • when items are grouped by custom attributes, the current timeframe can be maintained when moving items by pressing and holding the Shift key
• User interface design – messages added in various areas to provide guidance to users

Enhancements:

• Limit of 500 cards per board was set to maintain optimal functionality while preventing excessive load
• Enhancements to user interface design – messages added in various areas to provide guidance to users

Enhancements:

• Roadmaps list – roadmaps are grouped into My roadmaps and Shared with me categories
• Roadmap view – roadmap description is displayed below the roadmap name 
• Manage user access dialog – email addresses are displayed when you hover over a user name 
• Roadmap viewers and editors can view the user access settings for roadmaps
• Searches for AgilePlace items include the card header in the search results
• Enhancements to user interface design
