Usernames
Usernames
Organizations will have the option to generate usernames to log into Planview Admin instead of using email addresses. Administrators can enable this option in their tenants and assign the usernames to their users.
ADMIN
You must be an administrator to enable or assign usernames.
To enable usernames:
- Go to Settings > Organization Profile.
- Under Configuration Options, click the toggle next Enable Usernames.
Usernames are now enabled for your organization. This adds a new Username column in the user list. By default, each user's username is their email address.
WARNING
With usernames enabled, all users in your organization must use their usernames to sign into Planview Admin. If their usernames are still their email addresses, they may need to enter their email address twice to sign in if they attempt to sign in from a URL without a subdomain.
To assign a username:
- Go to Users.
- In the user list, in the user's row go to Actions > Edit User. The user's action menu is opened with the three dots icon.
- Enter a name in the Username field. By default, this field has the user's email address.
- Click Save.
The user has a new username. You will need to deliver this information to the user.
