Configuring Report Data Table Columns
The following configuration is maintained in the Table Columns node in the Report ID branch of the FastTrack Report Configuration Structure.
Parameter | Description | Configuration Options | Example Settings |
Table Columns Options | The report supports a total of 4 table columns that can be configured to appear in the report. |
Two columns are available for configuration before the resource name which can be used to show any resource attribute or OBS parent information. Two columns are available after the resource name which can be used to show any resource attribute. If effective dates are enabled on the attributes after the resource name then each value will be shown as a separate line with supply/demand time phased according to the effective dates. |
The following table columns are included in the default FastTrack configuration for the report:
Configuring User Parameter Defaults
The following configuration is maintained in the Parameter Defaults node in the Report ID branch of the FastTrack Report Configuration Structure.
Parameter | Description | Configuration Options | Example Settings |
Slice By | A resource or work attribute can be selected as the attribute to analyze the demand (and where applicable) the capacity.
A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for the parameter is set to slice by:
Approval States | Status of assignments that will be included in the demand. | A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for the parameter will show:
Effort Unit | Unit of measure used for effort. | A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for the parameter will show effort in:
Breakdown Effort By | Breakdown by Week, Month, or Quarter time slices in chart or table. | A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for the parameter will breakdown by:
Range Start/End | Date range that is used to determine demand and capacity returned. | Default dates can be specified using:
The default FastTrack configuration for the Range will be:
Include Demand against "Unassigned" Org Res? | Determines whether unassigned demand is included in the report. | A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for including Unassigned demand is:
Show | Controls which charts and tables are displayed in the report. | A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for showing charts and tables is:
Include Out of Portfolio Demand | This option determines whether or not resource assignments to work and standard activities that are outside the selected work portfolio/project and considered as demand and plotted as out-of-portfolio utilization. | A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for is set to:
Detail Table Format | This parameter determines the format of the detailed data table in the report. Users can select a formatted layout, with grouping either expanded or collapsed, or a plan, flat-table, format that is designed for use when exporting the report to Excel for further data analysis. | A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for is set to format the detail table as:
Other Configuration Options
The following configuration is maintained in the Parameter Defaults node in the Report ID branch of the FastTrack Report Configuration Structure.
Parameter | Description | Configuration Options | Example Settings |
Hide Non-Utilizable Standard Activity on Non Working Days | This advanced parameter can be utilized to control the way that the report handles how non-utilized standard activities reported on non-working days are handled. This supports the use case where;
A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for is set to:
Treat Standard Activities as Project | The configuration of this report supports two method of displaying standard activities. By default (parameter set to "N") standard activities all display under a project as separate activities with the project name “Standard Activities” (or whatever they are called in the standard activities primary structure). Alternatively, (parameter set to “Y”) you can display each standard activity as a separate project in the report. |
A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for the parameter will:
Utilization Metric Calculation - Include/Exclude Requested Assignments | This option determines whether the named resource utilization calculations include or exclude allocations and reserves that have a status of Requested. | A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for the parameter will:
Utilization Metric Calculation - Exclude Non-Utilized Standard Activities planned/reported on a non-working day | Standard Activities can be flagged as Utilized or Non-Utilized types. This option allows non-utilized standard activities to be excluded from utilization calculations if the day that they are planned or reported on is a day that is defined as a non-working day on the Resource Calendar. Use Case Example: Public Holiday standard activity is used to report timesheet hours and this public holiday day is a non-working day on the resource calendar. This is relevant to customers who enforce minimum reported hours check on timesheets, requiring that non-working days are time reported. |
A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for the parameter will:
Respect Work Status Rules for Suppress Assignments | By default this report will respect the Suppress Assignments flag on the Work Status Rules, meaning that demand against work items in a Suppress Assignments work status will be excluded from the report. This parameter allows this business rule to be overridden so that the report will display demand for work in any status. | A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration for the parameter will:
Report Labels | These options allow the following effort categorization labels to be modified. This applies only to the categorizations used in the charts. | Allows the text label for the following items to be controlled:
The default FastTrack configuration for the parameter will set the titles as:
Color of Out of Portfolio Demand | This parameter allows you to set the color used in the charts for out of portfolio assignments. | A default can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration color is:
Report Title | Configurable report title that appears at the top of the report. | The title of the report can be set using:
The default FastTrack configuration Report Title is set to:
Additional Information
The selected slicer will determine the colors of the chart stacks by respecting the attributes associated configured charting colors, if no charting colors exist the stacks will assign from default color palette.
