June 2024 Product Roadmap Q&A

Question Answer
Is there an easy way to identify which 1 PPL a user may not have grants to from a large portfolio? Today error page will not list work where permission is missing, we will look to enhance. Very good point. Thanks
Will the app switcher contain a link to EA? The default view will still be able to be configured to EA upon login
Any news on the release of the fix to 00749470?  This was expected in April & May now June so fingers crossed! The fix will be available in June release version.
What are the items that can be tracked in log book?  Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions, Lessons Learned etc?  Is it limited or admin configured?  Also how can we get on the early access for log book? Logbook will provide capability to create and manage any type of log and not restricted to any number or type. It is admin configurable.

For early access, please visit Planview Labs program on CSC - https://info.planview.com/early-acce...en_en_reg.html
Is Modern Card Design a user level, board level, or platform level setting? It will be a user level setting
Originally the new card design was coming in June. Has that been postponed past June?  We drafted an early communication for our users so do not want to send that too soon. We are still targeting June for the first release of the new card design
Follow-up question about a user not being able to access the portfolio.  So when they are invited they get an email notification. Will that still be sent? Is there any warning that displays or the portfolio is simply not in their list even though they may have been informed they were invited to it? The email would still be sent and would not contain that type of warning. We can investigate adding that as it would give the user a better expectation when trying to access the portfolio (and whether they need to request additional access)
Is there any way for Admin's to know if users are using Instant coffee ? If you send me an email, I can pull a report for you (jhigh@planview.com)
If the Admin Setting for "Send welcome email" is turned off will that prevent all emails letting users know they've been added, or are there some that still get sent despite that setting? It depends on how the Org is setup.  If it is password auth, no, they would still see the welcome email; if it's SSO, then yes, that email would be suppressed.  As we release changes to SSO, you will see additional information regarding what that checkbox does in detail
We don't want our user to access the Admin Portal at all. Will we be able to hide it in the Product switcher? My concern is the product switcher will show this product (eventhough we have hidden all tiles on the main Portal from their view).. The product switcher would show only those items the user should see as allowed in PVAdmin
In AgilePlace Whiteboards will admins be able to disable the ability to share a public link prior to Instant Coffee going away? This is something we're considering adding to Whiteboards in the future, but it won't be there before Instant Coffee goes away.

Does Logbook report out to say the WRK14 report or a standalone report? Would imagine most users/orgs would like to see some of this information on a status report some some kind Logbook reporting will be through odata, and for GA logbook data will be incorporated into PowerBi dashboards in Portfolios. Thanks
Are more Wigets under development for Portfolios?  Kinda limited at this time Much more! we will be announcing some in this next section.
"Shared Views" is that only applicable in Planview.Me or is that same functionality for the Overviews tab within Portfolios? It will be available for Planview.Me standalone, and Planview.Me Portfolios at the same time.
In Planview.me, when Users begin to have the ability to create their own views, will they need to access Planivew Admin to make their edits or if we have Planview.me enabled on the MyOverview screen can they make their edits from their MyOverview screen? No this ability will be enabled from the view list on the page for end users
Are there plans for more widgets for PPM Pro? We will be looking into adding widgets for PPM Pro a bit further down the line as well - please also refer to the separate monthly release webinars we are running with a focus on PPM Pro (next one is coming up on June 12th)
So just to clarify, If we have hidden all tiles on the Planview admin overview they have access to, then the product switcher will have no products? Hiding tiles on Planview Admin Overview, only hides those tiles from the Planview Admin Overview page.  When viewing the product switcher context from a Planview product, the user will still see all products associated to that tenant group where they have acccess, regardless if the product is hidden from Overview.  (Example: An PV Admin administrator hides AgilePlace production from Overview, a user who has access to AgilePlace will still see it in the product switcher from Roadmaps.) This feature was not intended to prevent access to various products from the Production or Primary sandbox tenant groups, but rather, obscure additional connected Portfolio sandboxes added for limited group testing purposes.  These sandboxes are not connected to other products so they aren't part of broader tenant groups, and the Product switcher scope is limited to the sandbox and Planview Admin.
Are Playlists working now Hi Mark, we're not sure what you're asking - please reach out to Customer Care with more details and we'll be happy to get back to you.
So end users will need to access the Planview.me standalone to create their Planview.me views? This page in the CSC has the details: https://success.planview.com/Shared_...dministrators)  To create shared views for either Planview.Me Standalone or Portfolios Overviews the user must be a Planview Admin administrator. Planview Admin administrators do not need to be a member of the Planview.Me Standalone product to perform this task anymore. End users, however, will need to be a member of the Standalone product in order to view any active shared views.  New functionality coming soon will also permit end users of the Standalone Planview.Me to create their own personal views (when the permission is enabled.)
