Planview Enterprise One and Projectplace Connector Release Notes

This release is applicable for Planview Enterprise One release May 2020 and higher SaaS customers only.

Planview Enterprise One – Portfolio and Resource Management and Projectplace Connector

Released:  March 10, 2022

Resolved Issues

  • With this release the Projectplace Card Due Date field / PRM Action Item Target Date field will no longer be capable of being updated in both PRM and Projectplace.  The field will only be controlled from Projectplace.

Released:  December 14, 2020

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed a bug that caused connected templates to not get accurately applied in Projectplace if "Project Description" was set on an E1 project's lifecycle step immediately before the connected template was applied to the project and synced to Projectplace.

Released:  October 26, 2020

New Features

  • Projectplace has introduced a new account level feature switch which can be used to disable e-mail invitations being sent out.  This can be useful if you don't want users automatically invited to your sandbox environment.  If you want this enabled please contact customer care.

Released:  August 18, 2020

New Features

  • Updates to the Projectplace Head Admin Lifecycle Role will now update the Head Admin of an integrated Projectplace Workspace.
  • With this release we now include a Full Sync functionality to aid migrating from the legacy connector to the latest Portfolio and Resource Management and Projectplace connector.  This will need to be run manually once as part of the upgrade by Planview.

Released:  June 16, 2020

New Features

  • We are replacing the current Enterprise One - Projectplace connector to make it a real-time, event-based driven connection.
  • We’re introducing the ability to connect templates between Enterprise One and Projectplace. Connected templates will allow for streamlined project creation and card/task associations.
  • We’re taking the first step toward bi-directional field attributes between Projectplace cards and Enterprise One action items!
  • The Enterprise One - Projectplace Connector supports the ability to have an Enterprise One project create a connected Projectplace workspace in real-time.
  • The Enterprise One - Projectplace Connector supports syncing the work breakdown structure of an Enterprise One project with the Projectplace plan.
  • The Enterprise One - Projectplace Connector now supports the ability to sync templates between Enterprise One and Projectplace.
  • The Enterprise One - Projectplace Connector now supports the ability to apply a connected template through a lifecycle and scripted dialog that will result in a fully connected Enterprise One project and Projectplace workspace.
  • The Enterprise One - Projectplace Connector supports the ability to have Projectplace cards create connected Enterprise One action items.
  • The Enterprise One - Projectplace Connector supports the ability to automatically invite or create users in Projectplace when resources with associated users are added to connected projects in Enterprise One
  • The Enterprise One - Projectplace Connector supports the ability to sync assignees from Projectplace cards to Enterprise One action items.
  • The Enterprise One - Projectplace Connector now supports Projectplace label info, blocked card info, and time-reporting info as fields in Enterprise One.
  • The Enterprise One - Projectplace Connector now supports bidirectionality between a connected action item’s “target date” in Enterprise One and a card’s “due date” in Projectplace.
  • The Enterprise One - Projectplace Connector now supports a “Projectplace Head Admin” lifecycle role on a project in Enterprise One that is used to identify who should become the Head Admin of the connected Projectplace workspace once synced.

Resolved Issues

  • When a PRM activity has a board associated to it with a card on it in Projectplace.  If a child task is inserted in PRM the card will be moved to the "No activity" section of the board as expected and the PP number of open cards count is properly updated in PRM.

Known Issues

  • When the shared assignments flag in PRM is turned from no to yes for an integrated project, any pre-existing assignments in Projectplace won't result in authorizations being created in PRM.  The workaround is that the shared assignments flag be set upon project initial syncing from E1.
  • If a user has been invited to Projectplace changes their e-mail address, when they are assigned to a new activity they will receive an invite to the new e-mail.
  • I Projectplace if a card is moved to a new lane with the attribute pane open, the status can remain unchanged.  The workaround is to click on a different card or refresh  the page.
