Enterprise One Q&As - June 2021 Update

Question Answer
Does adding it as a tile that way maintain RLS? Yes it does the Row Level Security as well as access is all managed in PowerBI
Can they be stored in other tabs besides Overview For now we have them in My Overview only but we are exploring options to expand to other tabs.
Will actuals reported to Authorizations be included in RMA. Yes.  We are pulling time from the time reporting tables, so as long as it appears on the timesheet it will be available within RMA.
Is there any thought on adding the timestamp to the start and finish?  We have users complaining about the ESE overnight refresh and we would possibly want to send announcements to users who login within 45 mins of start of that process.  Or anyone who logs in 30 minutes before progresssion...and so on. There is actually a user preference to display the time within the date control - so you can add a specific time to the start/finish dates of the announcement.  I think the issue you may have is that we don't have recurring announcements yet, but hopefully the time preference will help.
Regarding the refresh or the Power BI premium - may we still use the job scheduler as well or does it have to be set up in the user account only? For premium tiles you dont need to use the job stream scheduler, you will manage the refresh schedule in powerbi.com on the dataset portion in the premum capacity workspace.
Assuming this only applies if you are using PVE timesheets and not importing time, is that accurate? Imported time should display as well, assuming that it's being imported as time records (which can be viewed on a timesheet).
Actuals are great in that view, any chance of getting reported time as well (separate column?).  We have a 2 week cycle for reporting, approving, integrating and it can cause a disconnect on what kind of time is recorded in some cases. Only progressed time is available within the column, but feel free to reach out to me (stownsend@planview.com) to discuss in more detail.
Thank you Mauricio.  I haven't used Power BI Premium yet so I'll take a look at how it works.  I just have a concern if the refresh schedule is tied to an individual user account and then that user leaves the job. Good point, the schedule is not associated to a user. it's associated to the workspace, so anyone that has "admin" or "owner" rights to the dataset can modify or manage the schedule in powerbi
With the timesheet approvals, is there any chance of having a screenshot of the timesheet included and have the approver just click an approve button rather than going into the application?  That would really save time, where as the shown option isnt very much better than what needs to be done now. We've definitely discussed that and I'd love to get that added as an option.  A part of need is making the details optional as not everyone wants the timesheet data within an email.  Stay tuned as that's a common ask. Thanks
Regarding email Notifications, is there a user community involved in Lifecycle Notifications as this is something we currently do not have much control over when it comes to customization? At this point, we're relying on Spigit (and some known/existing gaps) but have considered a separate compaign to better prioritize the notifications.
Hi Scott, if the Actuals column contains the Reported Time (not integrated but signed by the Resource) that is great. I didnt think that Actuals and Reported were the same as they are two different statuses in the time reported tables. The actuals column contains the progressed/integrated time.  Similar to above, but feel free to reach out to stownsend@planview.com to discuss in more detail.
Will E1 users require a separate Power BI License to access the premium dashboards? Depending on the licensing you have with Microsoft. If you have a premium capacity in your organization, it should cover the entire org without additional licensing.
Doesn't the report server get updated if we are on the monthly upgrades? Our version of Power BI, through this reporting service, when updated is updated automatically for everyone regardless of what version they are on.
