Enterprise One & Connected LeanKit Q&As - Supporting Agile Project Delivery in a Hybrid World

Question Answer
When a card is moved to completed, it isn’t marked as “assumed complete” in E1. Is there a fix in the works for this? Updates to LeanKit cards do not update the Work Status of the linked item in Enterprise One.
Do you need to be utilizing the Strategic module in order to benefit from the Leankit to PVE1? You do not need to use the strategy structure in order to connect Enterprise One items to LeanKit. Recently we introduced support for connecting levels below the Primary Planning Level (PPL) /Project level over to LeanKit. This means that you can create multiple connected levels within the work structure thus not requiring the use of the Strategy module.
Along the line, I'd be interested as well to see the E1-LK linkage on Project level as well. The Enterprise One-LeanKit connectors supports linking to a LeanKit card at the leaf level of strategy, at the work Primary Planning Level (Project/Epic) and at levels below PPL, in the work breaksdown structure.
What is your best practice recommendation for SAFe items in work -- should Epics or Features be the work item? For customers following SAFe, we recommend that an Enterprise One work item (project) is used to manage each Epic. This allows you to utilize functionality in Enterpise One, such as Investment Planning, to collect and prioritize epics in advance of your PI Planning cycle.
The cards that represent things like Objectives, Strategy, which were parent levels within E1 strategy level, are not synched by the connector, correct? Only the leaf level of the strategy hierarchy? Correct, only leaf level of strategy is able to be synchronized to a LeanKit card.
How is the new OKR functionality integrated with Strategies and Objectives in E1? At the moment we have not integrated the OKR functionality with Enterprise One. It is on our road map to do so.
How we connect Outcome to Leankit or is it only possible to use Strategy and Work? Is there a plan to extend the connector to add outcome? We are not planning to allow Enterprise One outcomes to be synchronized to LeanKit cards.
Those Agile tiles - are they in V18? Can you get that in a lower version of PVE1? The Agile report tile that we showcased is a PowerBI report that is using the Enterprise One-LeanKit Ad-Hoc Analysis Tabular model. Today the model supports LeanKit cards connected to Startegy and to work primary planning level. We'll be releasing an updated model in the summer that will support connections to cards below PPL.
This model will require some technical alignment work through our Global Reporting Services team in Professional Services to get you fully operational with it. Please reach out to your Managing Consultant or Customer Success Manager to get some help with this.
This agile page/dashboard we’re seeing - is it automatically available to all users? I’ve never seen it before. This model will require some technical alignment work through our Global Reporting Services team in Professional Services to get you fully operational with it. With the connectors, our teams would not need to be in E1 (other than the PM's and upper management), is that a correct assumption? Can LK track time per individual? Thank you! Correct, the team members managing their work delivery do not need to be logging onto Enterprise One.

LeanKit does not have time reporting functionality. We do have the Agile Costing capability that uses LeanKit card assignments to derive "automatically" timesheets for team members in Enterprise One.

Users/resources that are having timesheets created through Agile Costing  will need a Connected User seat in Enterprise One to allow their card assignments to be used by the Agile Costing Engine to derive timesheets for them.
Is there any link between Leankit and E1 that drives capacity planning. The task / activity level integration looks good, but if I assign a resource to a card in Leankit, can it affect my availability in E1? Our solution for full scaled agile utilizes Enterprise One financial planning and investment planning for customers wanting to do resource capacity planning, at the team level.
Capacity planning at the card level is done in LeanKit using points and Work in Progress limits in board lanes.
With whom I can connect to get more details on the Team reservation and named resource reservation management? Please speak with your Managing Consultant or Customer Success Manager to get some assistance from Professional Services on this topic.
Can a team only report time on a team account instead of a personal account? Time reporting is always at the named resource level.
Are any of the Lean Portfolio Management reports in E1 built in? Are they available in our environments now?
