Enterprise One Q&As - May 2021 Release Webinar

Question Answer
With the ODATA change, what do we get? Better performance? It sounds like nothing is really changing We should expect a performance boost but the primary benefit is being able to pull larger datasets without hitting memory/processing limits that initial odata implementation. As mentioned we can also look to odata to be a first class citizen for pulling data out of Enterprise One and feed a datawarehouse.
'@Paul, is there still going to be an additional cost to use oData? No additional cost to use odata. Reach out to me (Paul Jacobs). We're in process of making commercial changes as it relates to odata and non-Power BI usage.
When is January 2021 PowerBI roll out? As we covered in the webinar presentation we are holding off on rolling out the latest Power BI Report Server version because of a fairly impactful regression. The regression is present in January 2020 version through January 2021 versions. That unfortunately impacts too many customers to move forward. We still absolutely want to and will update the Power BI Report Server but we need to get customers in to a monthly update where this regression is not present. Please upgrade to latest 2021 versions to get out of this regression zone. To be clear the regression only impacts uploading new or updated Power BI reports via Reporting Content Management. Existing reports already uploaded continue to work. We'll discuss more on timing and approach in coming monthly webinars.
Is the copy financial plan change going to effect existing lifecycle step being used or will they operate as is until we elect to change them? The administrator has to make that change to how that lifecycle step is defined. I do not believe this will change existing lifecycles already in motion, but I will prove that out and update this answer when we publish.
About the "Mirrored" card topic - I've played with a little.  If a mirrored card gets moved thru the columns, will the update be reflected on the "main board" ? Currently, any movement of a mirrored (parent or child) card will NOT automatically move its counterpart. In many cases, teams/boards have different flows where moving to the next lane might not always be approproate. While we do not have immediate plans, in the future, we hope to introduce more functionality around automation of work based on configured rules
Will the new Financial Plan copy option be part of the job stream that allows Financial Plan copying for a portfolio of work?  Yes, this option will be available from all three areas where you can administer the copy function. Version Administration, Job Stream, and Lifecycle.
Can OKRs be tracked at the work level (in E1) and roll up progress to the strategy level?   Key Results are tied to work (LeanKit cards), and those Key Results are rolled up to the objective. We have plans on embedding OKRs in E1: Objectives would be tied to strategies, and the Key Results tied to the work (PPL) - so you could rollup progress at the Strategy level.
We have some customers that want to be able to have some reporting at the specific fields available - to include Custom Fields.  Overall, maybe the ability to create "custom" reports base on certain criteria. While we would like to add custom fields to in-app LK reporting, we do not have immedate plans to do so. We find that customers who take advantage of these fields for reporting usually have specific reporting needs that require use of a BI tool such as PowerBI or Tableau. The LeanKit reporting extracts/reporting APIs do provide access to custom fields for this purpose. We would be happy to host a follow-up call with you to discuss / walk through some options. If you use PowerBI, we have a few templates that might help you get started. Just let us know!
Planview Leankit is integrated to products like Enterprise One? Yes, Planview LeanKit is connected to Planview Enterprise One.  This is available as part of a team member experiences (and part of FLEX licensing). If you'd lke to learn more, we did a great webcast on this recently (https://info.planview.com/enterprise...n_en_view.html)
Is there any update on APIs? We're still working through some oauth implementation details along with some of the other foundational API items we discussed but we are fully intending on releasing a basic 'read a piece of work' API in the next few months. I think it makes sense to regroup and talk again on this in mid to late May. Want to reach out to Gary D and get something on the calendar?
I see the beta is in production. Should we test in our sandbox or production? Since this is represented as a separate standalone report there's no issues testing in production. You can test in parallel to the production version. For further reference here is the link to the mini-demos page

Will you have the capability to access announcements once they have been dismissed from the screen? At this point, announcements are not available after you dismiss them from the screen.  We have discussed making them available longer-term, but nothing is currently planned.
What about alerts based on KPI thresholds? Assuming that we're talking about notifications, we plan to start with the basics such as extending email support to things such as timesheet approvals, as well as uplifting the email format which will be handled incrementally.  Notifications based on KPIs (assuming functionality such as if Schedule Finish has slipped by X then send a notification) has been discussed but is not currently planned.
Are there any plans to allow administrators to take the system down by user role (ex: for delpoying new config / reports)? Not at this time.
When is RMA actuals going live? June 2021
