Enhancements included in the AdaptiveWork 2022
October, 2022
Clickable Lifecycle Diagram
- In order to simplify the UX, reduce the amount of complexity of enhancement and maintenance, we deprecate the Action button (field) for the lifecycle for Request Approval, Work Item Approval and Bill Summary Approval.
- Instead of using the Action button (field), the Lifecycle diagram is clickable.
- Your current state will be highlighted and if there is a custom action for that state to go to the next one, the highlighted button will be a hyperlink.
- You can click on the state to launch the corresponding custom action. E.g. If you click on the New state for "New Project Request", it will launch the custom action to submit for approval.
- You can also find the clickable panel on the right hand side of the Request module view.
- It is the same for Work Item Approval and Bill Summary Approval.
- This change will make it much simpler in case we need to customize the of states in diagram for demo. However, we still encourage you to engage the SC Tech team in case you need to modify it.
- This panel is custom built for our demo and is not an OOTB feature.

Changes in Frequently Used Actions panel
- We replace the buttons with hyperlink in the Frequently Used Actions such that we can make it more compact and include more actions there.
- 2 additional actions (links) are introduced:
- Project 360 Report - It will bring you to the report from the project detail page.
- Project Revenue Report - This will be shown for PSA use case projects.

 |
Project Picture
- A project picture section is introduced in the Frequently Used Actions panel since more requests from customers to include a picture of the product/project while the project icon is too small.
- This section will show the picture if the field "Work Item Picture" is pointing to a image file.
- The field is hidden by default to make the property card clearer. You can find the field in the Property Card search.

Use Action Item for Approval and Gate Checklist
- Instead of creating addition custom objects for Approval and Gate Checklist (Process Step), we migrated the implementation to use standard Action Item object instead.
- The change does not affect the current process of approval (Request, Pro Forma, Task) and Gate checklists.
- For Approval, instead of clicking the a Y/N button to approve/reject, you can update the Status field directly instead. (This has been the case for Gate checklists)
- There is no change for Gate checklist. However, since we made the checklist items as action items, the label of the relation table is now Action Item. You can add additional Checklist item using the "Add Related+" button.

Additions for PSA Use Case
- The Pro Forma Bill module is added to the Navigation for PSA profile.
- The view Pro Forma View is introduced also.
- You can access to ALL the Pro Forma Bill in this module.
- This is fo PS Operation or Finance to have quick access to the financial data since they may not work through projects at all.
- A Pro Forma Report is also introduced to give a monthly and customer visualization of the Pro Forma Bill.

|
Request Type of "Idea"
- A request type "Idea" is added for the PD use case.
- If you create your Request through the "Add New Idea" custom action, the request will be set to Idea type.
- The Idea request type will use the same property card and flow as the New Project Request (same as before)
- A new Request modular view of Innovation Funnel is also created.
