Modeling a Product Value Stream

Overview

To begin your journey generating Flow Metrics, you'll first need to model your product value stream. Modeling a product value stream consists of two parts — Product Modeling and Artifact Modeling. 

In the Product Modeling tab, determine the tools, projects, and artifacts that are a part of your product value stream.

In the Artifact Modeling tab, model your artifacts into flow items — artifacts carrying business value — and model their states into flow states. This allows Viz to generate Flow Metrics.

Modeling Set-Up

  1. To begin modeling your product value stream, select your data in the Product Modeling tab.
  2. After you've selected the data you'd like to include, shape your data in the Artifact Modeling tab.
