Scoring a Project

Who Can Score?

Users on project team with a permission profile with a Team rule that includes Edit > Scoring permission, or a user with a permission profile with a Global rule that includes Edit > Scoring permission.

Where Do I Score?

You score a project from the project's Scoring section. If you do not see a Scoring section for the project, then the project's category does not include Scoring. Ask you PPM Pro administrator to add Scoring to your project's category, or give your project a category that includes Scoring.

The top section of the page displays information about the project and scoring profile.

Scoring a project

Before you can score a project, a scoring profile must already be assigned to the project. Only one scoring profile can be active for any project or request.

After you score a project, you can edit or even delete your score, provided the score is not locked. Remember, though, that the modification or removal of your score affects the overall project score. See How to interpret scores for more information.

To score a project:

  1. Navigate to the project you wish to score.
  2. Select the Scoring link. If you do not see this link, the Scoring section  has not been assigned to the project.
  3. Choose Menu > Add Score.

The screenshot below shows the Add Score dialog for the Standard Scoring Profile:Innotas BP Content. Each criteria has a drop-down list from which the user can select a value. The criteria in your Add Score dialog might have drop-down lists or fields into you which you enter values.

Enter or select values for each criteria, then click Save. Once you dismiss the Add Score dialog, you return to the Project/Scoring tab.

  1. In the Add Score to Project <Project Name> dialog, enter the score values (or choose them from drop-lists, if available).
  2. Click Save when you are finished.

If you wish to change your score before the profile is locked, you can edit your score.

Your score results appear in the Scoring section. For information about how your score affects the overall project or request score, or to better understand your score results, see How to interpret scores.

To edit a score:

A score may be edited only by the user who created the score.

  1. Navigate to the project you wish to re-score.
  2. Select the Scoring link.
  3. In the Scoring Detail Area, choose By User from the View drop-down list.
  4. In the Scoring Detail area, click [Edit].
  5. Modify your values and then click Save.
  6. If the scoring profile has been locked, you cannot revise your score.

To delete a score:

A score may be deleted only by the user who created the score.

  1. Navigate Projects/All Projects and click on the project you wish to re-score.
  2. Select the Scoring link.
  3. In the Scoring Detail Area, choose By User from the View drop-down list.
  4. Locate your score and click [Delete].
  5. You will be asked to confirm the delete action - Click OK to delete the score or Cancel to abort the delete.

If the scoring profile has been locked, you cannot delete your score
