Application API Overview

To help customers get the most out of LeanKit, we provide an Application Programming Interface (API) for automating common tasks, such as creating, updating, and moving cards on a board.

Our API is a suite of web services that make it possible to build and manage software applications. While invisible to end users, APIs are essential for communication between programs and systems.

Here are a few examples of how the LeanKit API can help you and your organization:

  • Automate repetitive tasks, such as updating many cards at once.
  • Monitor LeanKit for specific conditions, and send notifications.
  • Synchronize information between LeanKit and another system.

How to integrate with the LeanKit API

Application API Version 2.0 includes our newest API endpoints. Documentation for Version 2.0 can be found by going to [youraccountname].leankit.com/io.

Note: change [youraccountname] to match your LeanKit account name.

Application API Version 1.0 is also available for use. Details about Version 1.0 can be found in our Version 1.0 overview.
