PMBOK and Planview Enterprise

Summary

This best practice outlines how Planview Enterprise can effectively support your organization in instituting PMI-standard PMBOK processes.

As PMI itself states, the PMBOK Guide (or "A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge") is not meant to be a methodology, though it can be a basis for an effective methodology.  Nor is it meant to be a linear set of processes executed step-by-step, though some of the processes are indeed executed sequentially. Rather, it is a collection of individual project management processes, arranged by process group, that represent what most organizations do most of the time in terms of inputs, tools and techniques, and outputs.

To read the full best practice beyond this abstract, you must be a PRISMS subscriber. See your Planview administrator for details.
