Accessing Planview Enterprise Data with OData

OData can be used as a data source for reporting with Power BI Desktop and ad-hoc analysis with Excel.

To use oData with Power BI Desktop:

  1. Generate an Authentication Token
  2. Open a new report in Power BI Desktop > select Get data.
  3. Select OData feed.
  4. Enter your Enterprise One URL and append "/odataservice/odataservice.svc" at the end.
  5. Select Basic in the left pane.
  6. In the User Name field, paste/enter the Authentication Token generated from Enterprise One. In the Select which level to apply these settings to field, enter your Enterprise One URL.
  7. Connect.

To use oData with Excel ad-hoc analysis:

  1. Generate an Authentication Token
  2. Open Excel > select Get Data.
  3. Select from Other Data Sources.
  4. Select from OData Feed.
  5. Enter your Enterprise One URL and append "/odataservice/odataservice.svc" at the end.
  6. Select Basic in the left pane.
  7. In the User Name field, paste/enter the Authentication Token generated from Enterprise One. In the Select which level to apply these settings to field, enter your Enterprise One URL.
  8. Connect.
