Resource Management

Resources, in the context of Resource Management in Planview Enterprise refers primarily to the people who accomplish work on projects and other work initiatives. Resource can also contribute effort toward ongoing service work (i.e., support tickets).  Lastly, resources can also perform standard activities within the organization. In Planview Enterprise, a standard activity represents non-project work such as general administration, attending staff meetings, and so on.

Resources include employees, contractors, and (in some cases) vendors. Planview Enterprise also supports capturing expenditure information for non-human resources, such as laboratories or machinery.
