About the Document
A RACI Chart is a valuable communications planning tool that can assist with proper project communications. The idea is to list vertically the major activities of the project, and horizontally the key project team roles and stakeholder roles. For each activity, the chart can be used to plot out who is:
R = Responsible (the "doers" of the activity)
A = Accountable (the "owner" of the activity)
C = Consulted (they should be consulted before undertaking the activity)
I = Informed (they should be informed following the activity, during status reports)
