Using Tiles vs. Dashboards for Reporting Analytics


As of Planview Enterprise 11.5, most reporting needs can be met using only tiles, as opposed to configuring dashboards in the portal. In many cases, configuring dashboards and using the portal would create a maintenance burden with little corresponding benefit, especially in cases where reports must address multiple audiences. This best practice explains why tiles are often the most practical way of presenting RPM Analytics and when dashboards are an appropriate choice.
