PPM Enhancements for September 13, 2019

We are deploying the following enhancements to Daptiv PPM on Friday, September 13, 2019. This post is designed to help you understand how new and enhanced features can improve your PPM experience, and to guide you in making decisions about how to configure those features (if applicable). To facilitate training and testing ahead of this release, the features below will be deployed Sandbox environments on Monday, September 9, 2019. During this release, Daptiv PPM will be unavailable for a short period. The next Daptiv PPM Release is September 27, 2019.

For detailed information about these and all PPM Features, see the PPM Online Help

Notable Fixes

Actions Menu always displays below Net Availability in Capacity Planner
We fixed an error in Capacity Planner where the Actions Menu would appear below and beneath the Net Availability section when opened. In some cases, this error could block access to the options of the menu by hiding them behind the elements of the UI. With this release, the Actions Menu is bound to the Actions icon, so all menu options are visible and clickable to the user.

Actions icon disabled after using the Actions Menu
This release includes a fix for an issue where the Actions icon was disabled after certain options in the Actions Menu were selected. Previously, if a user clicked an Actions icon and used an Action Menu option that opened a new window or modal, the Action icon would be disabled until the user refreshed the tab. This issue no longer occurs and users can repeatedly open the Actions menu for any Global tab item regardless of the action they previously performed.

ProjectTransit update for schedules with partial hours
We are also releasing a new version of ProjectTransit. In version 4.2, we’ve enhanced our support for Microsoft Project 2016, fixing a bug where schedules with partial hours could not sync with Daptiv PPM projects. The ProjectTransit scheduling engine has been updated so any schedules with partial hours from Microsoft Project 2010, 2013, and 2016 can be synced successfully. In order to upgrade to version 4.2, users need to download and install it from the Utilities page in Daptiv PPM.

Note: After installing ProjectTransit 4.2, users need to re-sync their Project files with Daptiv PPM. You can find instructions for re-syncing projects from our Help.
