PPM Enhancements for September 25, 2020

We are deploying the following enhancements to Changepoint PPM on Friday, September 25, 2020. This post is designed to help you understand how new and enhanced features can improve your PPM experience, and to guide you in making decisions about how to configure those features (if applicable). To facilitate training and testing ahead of this release, the features below will be deployed in Sandbox environments on Monday September 21, 2020. The next Changepoint PPM Release is October 9, 2020.

Notable PPM Enhancements

New Dark Mode setting
This release adds a new way to experience Changpoint PPM: Dark Mode. Dark Mode inverts the background and text colors, resulting in white text against a black background. Users who find that more readable can enable Dark Mode using the new UI Theme dropdown in their User Settings.

Performance improvements for Timesheet views
We improved the performance of queries in the Timesheets by Workspace, Timesheets By Resource, and Timesheets Pending my Approval views. Users were finding that these views were having issues loading items from queries that returned large batches of timesheets. Now, those views should handle large returns more smoothly.

Notable PPM Fixes

Links from the Notifications pane not working
The links appearing in the Enterprise Dashboard’s Notification pane were not working for Google Chrome users. Other supported browsers were not affected by this issue. Now, all links in the Dashboard Notifications pane work for all users.

Cannot delete documents using Checked Item Actions menu
Users were unable to delete multiple documents at once using the Delete option in the Checked Item Actions menu of the global Documents application. They would instead see a message saying that they were unable to delete the selected items. This release fixes this issue and users can quickly clean up their Documents application with a bulk delete.
