This post is designed to help you understand how new and enhanced features can improve your PPM experience, and to guide you in making decisions about how to configure those features (if applicable). To facilitate training and testing ahead of this release, the features below will be deployed in Sandbox environments on Monday, August 10, 2020. The next Changepoint PPM Release is August 28, 2020.

PPM Enhancements

From the Idea Greenhouse: Persistent Timesheet Favorites
For this release, we implemented another one your suggestions from the Idea Greenhouse. When clicking the stars next to tasks or workspaces in timesheets to mark them as favorites, your selections are saved and visible the next time you visit your timesheets. Previously, they would only stay marked as a favorite as navigated between timesheets and views but would disappear if left the Timesheets application. With this enhancement, you no longer have to mark your favorites every time you open Timesheets. Additionally, if you choose to view only your timesheets favorites using the Star button at the top of the timesheet, that choice also persists. If you have an Idea you would like us to consider for development, please leave us a message in the Idea Greenhouse.

Notable PPM Fixes

Approvers cannot approve timesheets
We fixed an issue where a timesheet approver cannot approve timesheets if they delegated their approvals to an acting approver and the timesheet approval policy includes requires more than one approver. Normally, the original timesheet approver can still approve timesheets even if they assign an acting approver.

Bulk editing custom date fields clears all values
We fixed an issue that was causing values in custom date fields to disappear when bulk editing user details. This issue no longer occurs and bulk editing successfully updates custom date fields added to user details.

Tree in Folder view disappears after dragging and dropping a new file
When adding a new document to a workspace with the new drag and drop feature, if you are using the Folder view, the tree showing your folder structure would disappear. You could get the tree to reappear by refreshing the page. Now, when the file successfully uploads, the tree remains visible and you can see where your new document is in the folder structure.

Permissions conflict prevents users from selecting reports for Report Viewer
We fixed a permissions conflict which blocked some users from selecting reports to use in their Project Dashboards. Any user with the “Customize Workspace Dashboard” and “View Reports in Dashboards” workspace role permissions should be able to select reports for their Project Dashboards.
