QUESTION

How to integrate a Cognos report into a profile page, e.g. the project profile page? When launching the corresponding page to set this up in system management, it only offers to filter on EntityId, but Changepoint should filter on the current project name/projectid.

ANSWER

It is correct that Changepoint offers only the column EntityId to link a Cognos report into a profile page or into an action menu. The Cognos report needs to have a filter named EntityId (case sensitive) that maps to the Id of the entity of the report, e.g. projectid or requestid.

For example (in Cognos):

[Time].[Project Time].[ProjectId] = ?EntityId?

A report with such a filter can be integrated into the project profile page/actions menu and it will filter the project time in the report to belong to the project currently displayed.
