Symptoms

The following settings were configured to increase the number of rows exported to Excel according to the IBM Cognos article "Configuring the report and batch report services to use large worksheets" for BatchService and ReportService in Cognos Administration, and the services were restarted. However, when the report is exported to Excel 2007, the worksheet still had 500 rows per page.

Reason

The "Rows per page" option was set to 500 on the List Properties for the report.

Resolution

Change the value for the "Rows per page" option in the List Properties for the report.

  1. Access the report in Cognos Analytics.
  2. Select the list to display the Properties. 
  3. In the Data section, clear the "Rows per page" option.
  4. Save the report.
