Is it possible to use 'Prospect' status for the customer and avoid entering a telemarketer?

Telemarketers field is mandatory when the customer status is "Prospect". This behaviour is by design.

Additional notes:
Resources are available for selection in the Telemarketer field if they have one of the following features:
• Manage All Prospects
• Manage Department Prospects
• Manage Prospects.
