Products drop down not displaying when creating/editing an opportunity

QUESTION:
How to insert a product under the product tab when creating/editing an opportunity, if no drop down is available for this column ?

ANSWER:
In Administration section, User Interface, Metadata under the entity type opportunity the product field should not have the check mark for "Field is hidden from the user".

This will prevent the resource from inserting the product list on the product tab when creating/editing an opportunity.
