Billing Office visibility depends on the "Available for selection when creating/editing..." checkbox v2012

Symptoms

Billing Office visibility in Changepoint 2012 depends on the “Available for selection when creating/editing an Engagement or opportunities” checkbox:
If the checkbox is unchecked, the Billing office doesn’t appear anymore in those screens:
-The User Setup (System manager/user setup/Billing Office Access),
-The Company access : Billing Office list


Reason

The behavior appears in 2012; fixed in 2012 SP1.


Workaround
You can use these two alternates solutions:
1. Uncheck the "Available for selection when creating/editing an Engagement or opportunities" checkbox, do all the work, then select the checkbox back.

2. Check the "Available for selection" in the Billing Office and do not add any billing rates and do not enable any of the engagement statuses for selection.
Then the billing office will not be available for selection on engagements or opportunities, but will be on customers.


Resolution

The issue in 2012 and is fixed in 2012 SP1.
