Where does the hourly cost rate in budget service section come from?

Question:
We have populated the budget service section in a project budget. The resource hourly cost rate in resource profile is 45.07 but it is appearing as 42.25 in the budget services section.

A query on ResourceRate table shows that this hourly cost rate value (42.25) has never been used for the resource. Where is this hourly resource cost rate coming from?

Answer:
When the billing type in the engagement is configured as "Daily" or “Mixed – Fixed Fee/Daily”, the hourly cost rate of the resource is calculated by dividing the daily cost rate of the resource by the Hours per day value (System Manager >> General Setup >> Hours per Day Setup) .

The daily rate of this resource is 338 in resource profile, and the Hours per day value is 8, therefore the calculated figure 42.25 (= 338/8) is correct.
